Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)

Most provinces in Canada have an agreement with the Government of Canada that allows them to nominate immigrants who wish to settle in that province. If you choose to immigrate to Canada as a provincial nominee, you must first apply to the province where you wish to settle and complete its provincial nomination process. The province will consider your application based on its immigration needs and your genuine intention to settle there.

As of January 2015, most of the provincial nominee programs have combined their programs with the Express Entry system and will now accept a portion of their applicants through that program.

Here is a list of the provinces and territories currently participating in this program. Since the criteria vary among the provinces, you should visit their websites for more information.

After you have been nominated by a province or territory, you have to make a separate application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for permanent residence. A CIC officer will then assess your application based on Canadian immigration regulations.

You will have to pass a medical examination and security and criminal checks. You must also show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependants after you arrive in Canada. You can find more information on the funds you will need in the Related Links section at the bottom of this page.

Provincial nominees are not assessed on the six selection factors of the Federal Skilled Workers Program.

**If you completed your studies at a recognized post-secondary institute outside of Newfoundland and Labrador, your job or job offer must be related to your field of study. You also may be required to work for a minimum of 1 year prior to submission of your PNP application.

I want to know that can I get PR under SINP program because my points are 63/100 and my category is 2175 : web designer and developer which is in the list of in-demand occupation of Saskatchewan. However, I need I.S.P professional license for 2175. Can u please tell me, how many chances are there that I can get PR through SINP? My ECA evaluation is done and my degree equivalent to Canada’s Master Degree. I am 29 and married.

However, because of an issue with my employer I have not been getting salaries for the last 5 months and therefore I could not maintain my balance. I am expecting to get all my salaries before the application deadline but still my statement will not show the balance maintained for 3 months. 21. Hi,
I have applied for the SINP. Got invitation too. I have 6 YEARS skilled experience under NOC 6235.
I had worked for some time with NGO at clerical position after my graduation.
I currently don’t have any document to prove same. Is it mandatory to submit employment proof for same..
    Plz help me..

    • Hi.i want to apply for SINP with the same NOC code. But i am from pharmacy background.will this effect my nomination.what about yoir status.

  22. Good day, I need your advise on an issue I am facing now.
I filled the online EOI form for SINP, and my grid point was 62.
I currently work as a Database administrator and I noticed that there is no Administrative Jobs in the list
of NOC, so I fiIled a one year community service I did as my NOC, because I saw community service worker in the NOC.
But I noticed that I need to present a liesence, employment letter, salary pay slip which I don’t have, what I was presented with at the end of the one year was a certificate and I was also only paid stipends not salary which did not come in form of payment slips which I just found out will be required as a document to tender.

Since the EOI has been put in the pool and it seems what I filled as NOC might not be considered, what do I do?

Can I cancel the EOI request before I am been invited to apply? If I do can I apply again immediately?, What NOC can fit in for the kind of job I do now which is Adminstrative?

Plz I need your reply Asap as it seems the next draw might include me because the last one was 65 and my grid score is 62, so I want to be fully prepared.

    Thank you.

  23. I received an invitation to apply for SINP under the occupation in demand category. I am due to submit my application on the 9th of December. My major issue now is my proof of funds. I intended using gift deed until I was told Saskatchewan does not accept that I am using a fixed deposit method for my proof of funds and my major issue now is that it’s won’t be 90 days before I submit my application. Please is it advisable for me to submit an application by the expected date?
