Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) allows temporary foreign workers with at least one year of full-time skilled work experience* (or an equal amount in part-time) in Canada, to apply for permanent residence in Canada. The experience should be gained in the three years before you apply.

All CEC applicants must meet the program’s language proficiency requirements to qualify.

If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC skill type 0 or A, you must meet the minimum level of CLB7 in either English or French for all four language abilities. The minimum International English Language Testing System(IELTS) score requirements are:

Speaking Listening Reading Writing
6 6 6 6

For applicants with Canadian work experience of NOC skill type B, you must meet the minimum level of CLB5 in either English or French for all four language abilities. The minimum International English Language Testing System(IELTS) score requirements are:

Speaking Listening Reading Writing
5 5 4 5

Wants to apply through Canada Express Entry for National Occupation Classification-0122 under NOC-B.
    Am I eligible ?

  21. Dilruba Akhter says:

    Hi,

I am very much interested to apply as an immigrant in Canada. The main applicant will be my husband. He is a software engineer. His age is 37 years. More than 10 years he is a freelancer. More than 6 years he is working with a Canadian company as a software developer full time paid worker. The company will provide necessary documents for helping in the immigration process except for valid job offer for the current situation.

I have seen in express entry there is a sector where we can get points for canadian job experience. Is it possible for us to get points from that sector?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,
I am a secondary school teacher with 1-year experience. My credentials are assessed as Bachelors and Masters both in Business Administration. I have CLB 10 IELTS results.
The total calculated points are around 460, however, I am concerned on whether I need B.Ed to qualify for express entry or not?

    Regards,
    Kulsoom

My overall band score in Ielts is 6.5 but i got 5.5 in writing
Will i get admission in Canada university or colleges for pg diploma

  25. Karthik says:

Hi There – I have a CELPIP score higher than CLB7 which is the basic criteria for the EE Profile. My original Express entry profile expired in August and I created a new profile just before my original profile’s expiry. On my Original EE profile, I had FSW as Met and CSW as Met, and the score was close to the current Threshold. But the new profile created is reflecting FSW as Met and CEC as Not Met.

All the details of my work Experience under NOC 0213 (Canadian exp of 3+ years & Outside Canada 5+ years) are the same in both my old EE profile as well as my new EE profile. Any idea what could be causing this discrepancy? Appreciate any feedback / guidance you can provide on this please.
